Our Board of Directors
Joining Co-chairs City Commissioner Allan Katz and Tallahassee Community College President Bill Law on our Board of Directors are: County Commissioner Bryan Desloge, Laurie Dozier, Father Melvin Gray, Lila A. Jaber, John R. Lewis, former Leon County School Superintendent Bill Montford, Lyn Stanfield, Samuel M. “Buddy” Streit,
Virginia Wetherell and Gil Ziffer. The Board is roughly equally divided between Republicans and Democrats. Board members disagree on many issues, notably the recent coal debate, yet remain friends and continue the discussion. Learn more about our board here.

Welcome to our Founders
On May 10, the Board of Directors welcomed 60 community leaders and citizens who’ve agreed to become our “Founders.” Roughly half conservative, half liberal, they have stepped forward to becomethe lifeblood of the Village Square. More later about our Founders and their work on our “Big Idea.”
