PANEL FACILITATOR

Father Lin Walton
Assisting Priest for Parish Life and Youth Ministries
St. John’s Episcopal Church

Father Lin Walton, Assisting Priest at St. John’s Episcopal Church, completed his theological studies at Duke and Virginia Seminary, after which he served at St. Peter’s Church in Salisbury, Maryland, where he was ordained as a priest in 2000. He served four years in Belize, Central America as the director of the Anglican Theological Institute and as a lecturer in ethics at the University of Belize. *For Muslims, an imam is a general designation of one who leads prayer. The structure of their faith is less hierarchical than the Christian organizations more of us are familiar with. An Islamic organization will have an imam who is a prayer leader and administers their business, but in Islam, no one mitigates between the people and God. While Dr. Aydin is not an imam by profession, he is an imam in terms of leading prayers in his congregation.
