You think "the French" is of those left/right Rorschact tests? (Other than the jerky French waiter who actually refused to serve me yesterday but that's a whole 'nother story) I don't think the French don't like us, I actually think that mostly the whole world roots for us. I think they see us, like we see ourselves, as the shining city-on-the-hill. But sometimes they criticize our behavior, which friends sometimes do with friends? That doesn’t mean there aren’t some cheap shots taken by people like my Montmarte waiter (clearly a really bad man, he’s probably even murdered people...)

Perhaps The Village Square can do a season on FRANCE (with adequate study aboard opportunities available of course).

umm, i am sorry BUT WHEN DID THE FRENCH START VOTING FOR OUR PRESIDENT. of course he has an 85% approval rating in france... they don't like us. (ok so that was NOT civil, towards obama supporters or the lovely french people who brought us good french things such as fries and kissing.) but it was funny in my head...

you are only allowed to come home early IF you have already purchased my gift from france (and remember that the parisians gave us the statue of liberty, so i am thinking of something large and meaningful in the same spirit...)

Wait! Soon-to-be-favorite? You've really piqued my curiosity. I can't wait! I should probably just come back from Paris early to end the suspense?
