Screen shot 2012-12-28 at 10.09.46 PMAnyone who hangs out with us when we’re choosing a panel knows that we think hard (obsess really) about choosing just the right panel. That’s a tall order since the Village Square mission requires us to have divergent opinions represented – at the same time as we sincerely hope to have a cordial, constructive and enjoyable conversation – possibly even real bonding and understanding? You should know we’re very excited about this panel, which has about as much divergence as any panel we’ve ever assembled and three women we really, sincerely like.

Staci Fox is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of North Florida, possibly the epicenter of the political tug-of-war on women’s issues today. Joining Staci is Rosalind Fuse-Hall of Florida A & M University who has spent a career first at North Carolina Central University and then at FAMU around girls becoming young women. And – finally – Suzanne Venker, author of “The Flipside of Feminism” (which she co-authored with her aunt Phyllis Schlafly) who begs to differ with the conventional liberal political wisdom about a “war on women” and instead thinks there may even be a “war on men.” We’ll also be joined by Oasis Center for Women & Girls who will fill us in on where we stand in Tallahassee on these issues. We think the conversation will be riveting and unexpected and we think women are just the ones capable of having it. We hope you’ll join us. Get more information and make your reservation here.
