The second and third in a series of best practices forums in town and gown relationships – drawing on the best ideas from across the country – are coming to Tallahassee this fall. The forums will be held at the Leon County school district’s Aquilina Howell Center board meeting room and taped for rebroadcast on several local cable channels. The October 20 event is set for the University of Oregon and the City of Eugene. Representatives will be the Director of Community Relations for the U of Oregon and the Assistant City Manager for the City of Eugene to talk about Communications Partnerships. The November 10 event is set as well for Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg. The Vice President for Student Affairs for Virginia Tech and their Assistant City Manager will be the presenters to talk about Public Safety Issues. Get all the information and reserve a seat HERE.
